For anyone who does not like blatant advertising, look away now! I just needed to rave about Wikipedia. It seriously the greatest thing to come out of the internet. Do you remember back in like 1996, and everyone was excited about the information superhighway? Knowledge could be accessed by all and disseminated by everyone. Do you remember back in 2001 how everyone sort of said, "Oh well" when we all realised that it just wasn't happening?

Well now, Wikipedia has happened. It's great. Not just great, its truly amazing. It's almost irrelevant what topic you would like information about, Wikipedia has it. Not only that, the information is current, well written and writen for the non-technical.

The best part is, that it's more than just one site. There are hundreds of wikis. Wiki is a prefix for user-contributed website. Well, I bet someone who started it just thought it was a cool name and decided to go along with it. Most of my images come from Wikimedia Commons. It's a site with hundreds of thousands free images in the public domain.
