Inspired? I was, until I became oh so wiser.. Although I did believe him when I first thought about it. Who doesn't? Now I've become a philosopher, and have since realised that "I" may not even exist. What a terrible world the solipsist lives in! Although, I personally think it's quite liberating. You would be the only thing to exist in the universe - what a feat. Nothing else could do it but your mind.
